How long will it take for me to lose 40 pounds?

I am 14 and i just want to know how long itll take if im motivated and i actually keep on exercising and eating good and if i dont cheatHow long will it take for me to lose 40 pounds?
In the first 2 weeks you can lose 5 to 7 pounds a week safely and after those 2 weeks you should lose no more than 2 pounds a week. So if you lose 10 pounds in the first 2 weeks so in about 17 weeks you could lose 40 pounds however halfway through weight lost you can stop losing weight for several weeks while your body adjust to the new diet and activites at this time it is best to change up your exercise routine so I would give about 20 weeks or 5 months to lose this weight then after losing it you will need to remain active but can cut back on working out and keep eating healthy during losing weight it is important to set short term goals like weekly or biweekly goals and then to treat yourself when meeting those goals and even have a cheat meal every week as well. Where you have one meal where you can eat what you want it can be any meal even a snack or dessert. Also set a more long term goal like halfway through your weight lose and at the end of what you want to lose and make that reward larger like going to a movie where you can get one treat and for the final one of course new clothes are a great reward. For the small goals your reward can be anything for having a piece of chocolate or going for ice cream treating yourself makes you more likely to stay focused and on task and helps you get to your goal!How long will it take for me to lose 40 pounds?

although you will notice at first your going to lose like 5 pounds quickly. thats most likley water weight.
40 days lose 1lb a day,eat healthy and work out.
healthy weight loss is from 2-5lbs a week.. although you will notice the first few week tend to lose weight very quickly, that is mostly water weight... if you do not retain water very much this wont happen though


at around lets say about 3lbs a week it will take you around 13weeks wich is around 3months


dont let your guard down... youll start noticing your weight loss withing the firs 2 week... 4 pounds of fat is almost 1.5 inches off you waist..... thats huge! so keep going and youll be happier and happier every week you lsoe weight
Well I'm 14 too, and so far I've lost almost 30 pounds. I've lost most of it since February. I'm still eating, just healthy, I'm counting calories and exercising. (not doing much) just p.e. at school, and a few times a week I go running/walking/biking. I also switched from regular pop, to diet pop, and now pop every once in a while. Depending on how much you weigh it will take a longer/shorter amount of time to lose the weight. I started losing weight once I hit almost 150 pounds.): Now about 3-4 months later I weigh 125.(: Good luck!
