How do you implement cheats for an nds rom for use on a flashcart5(dstt)?

I've loaded up games on my flash cart and know that most of them have cheat sections listed next to the games that have it. I'm curious on how I would go about adding more cheats to these lists or creating lists for games that don't have them.
